What’s with the name?
Most people name their blogs for where they want to be or who they want to be. “Future Millionaire” or “Living the Good Life” or somthing like that… We named this blog for where we started. When we took the time to really assess our financial situation we realized that we were in bad shape. We were broke, burried in debt, living from paycheck to paycheck, and had Zero Passive Income. That’s where the name came from. It’s a reminder of where we started.
What’s this blog about?
This blog is about our personal journey in getting out of debt, building wealth, and finding financial freedom through conventional wisdom and passive income.
When I started this website my wife and I were flat broke, in debt, and had zero passive income. We were newly weds starting our lives together. We earned average incomes and lived comfortably. But with the economy the way it was, it was sobering to think that if either one of us lost our job we’d be bankrupt in a few months.
We decided we needed to do something about it. That’s when Zero Passive Income was born. The concept was simple:
1) Create passive income
2) Build lasting wealth
3) Write about it
